The Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, and Population Research (BBPR) Shared Resource combines the previous Biostatistics Core and Population Research Core and adds bioinformatics services. The BBPR provides statistical support for Holden investigators in the design, analysis, and reporting of cancer research projects.
BBPR involvement early on in the research process promotes good study design, efficient use of resources, effective data analysis and reporting, and scientific discovery. BBPR’s mission is to enhance the quality, rigor, and impact of cancer research across Holden by integrating state-of-the-art methodology and building strong collaborations with investigators
and stakeholders.
To request support for a new project, please complete an online request form. After submitting the form, you will be contacted to schedule a meeting to discuss your research and statistical needs.
Services provided include:
- Effective and efficient quantitative support for study design, conduct, data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of cancer research studies
- Access to data resources and data development services
- New quantitative methods and data resources as needed to advance cancer center research
- The teaching, training, and mentoring of cancer center members and their trainees
